Make Your Own Mixes
For the April activity we received instruction and samples of how to make our own mixes.
We received the booklet Making & Using Master Mixes
Those who came to the activity received 3 samples of mixes: taco seasoning, homestyle buttermilk dressing (Making & Using Master Mixes booklet page 21), and cream of chicken soup (Making & Using Master Mixes booklet page 20).
We also ate muffins made from the muffin mix from Make-A-Mix Cookery (old version).
The old version of Make-A-Mix Cookery by Karine Eliason is out of print but you can purchase a new version on Amazon for about $16 called Make-A-Mix by Karine Eliason.
(We noticed that the muffin mix in the new version has much more sugar than the old version, but because you are the cook you can control the amount of sugar!)
There are also many free mix recipes online!
